The memorial service for Janice (Nord) Marshall, 56, of Fillmore, MN. was at 11:00 A.M. on Monday (6-6-11) at High Forest Community Church in High Forest, MN with Pastor Bob Sinex officiating. Janice died Thursday (6-2-11), following a short illness, at Golden Living Center East in Rochester, MN.
Janice May Nord was was born May 28, 1955, in Pasadena, CA. She moved with her family as a young girl to High Forest, MN, attended Stewartville schools, and graduated from Stewartville H.S. in 1973. Janice was married Jan. 19, 1973, at High Forest Community Church to James Marshall. Following their marriage, the couple moved to California where Jim was stationed serving in the U.S. Navy. They moved to numerous states during his 20-year military career before returning to Stewartville. They were later divorced. Janice was employed as a sales clerk and in food service for a number of years. She was a past member of High Forest Community Church. She enjoyed gardening,being outdoors and bird watching, drawing, reading, playing board games during holidays with her family, and especially time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviors include a daughter, Jeana Wiesner and her sons Jesse and Nickolus of Rochester, MN; a son, Brian Marshall and his children of Spring Valley, MN; her sister, Rollinda(Jimmy) Hutton of Byron, MN; two brothers: Robert Nord of Ostrander, MN, Ronald Nord of Fillmore, and special friend Greg Prause of Fillmore. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Arrangements are with Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville.
