Lois A. Jeglum passed away May 20, 2011, in Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island, where she had resided the past several months.
Born November 3, 1925, in Lincoln, NE, the daughter of Harry and Leona (Haase) Burgess. She lived several years in Lincoln, Nebraska, moving to Rochester in 1957. She was a dental assistant while in Lincoln, Nebraska, once moving to Rochester she began working with the Mayo Clinic as an EEG Lab Technician and worked with Mayo until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She married William E. Larson on July 15, 1944, and he preceded her in death. On November 9, 1978, she married Duane C. Jeglum and he survives.
Surviving are her children: Ronald Larson (Marilou) of Tampa, FL; Karen Anderson (Bob) of LaVista, NE; Judy Baringer (Tim) of Loveland, CO; and Patricia Mensing of Pine Island; two step-children: Ronald D. Jeglum of Stewartville; and Kathleen Girard of Rochester; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, and a brother.
A Memorial service was held Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Family internment of cremated remains took place following the service at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes is assisting her family with arrangements.
