LeEtta Effie (DeWitz) Lorimor, age 83, of Rochester, Minn. passed away March 6, 2013 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester.
Born October 7, 1929 in Elgin, MN, the daughter of Arthur & Effie Elizabeth (Hunter) DeWitz, she graduated from Rochester High School. On June 5, 1948 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, she married Arnold Thomas Lorimor, and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2001.
Mrs. Lorima was a homemaker who enjoyed family events, socializing with all her family, and bowling. She and her late husband lived in Austin from 1948-1988 when they moved to the family farm in Plainview where they stayed until 1998. In June of 1998 they moved into Rochester to the Gramercy Park Cooperative where she has made her home since. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her two sons: Gary Lorimor (Judy) of Rochester, and Thomas Lorimor (Janice) of Plainview, five grandchildren and three great granddaughters; two sisters: LaVonne Gaskill of Plainview and Arva Jean Sackett of Rochester; two brothers: Harold DeWitz (Myrna) and Arthur DeWitz (Diane) both of Rochester, and a sister-in-law: Beverly DeWitz of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Robert. Memorials appreciated to either the Soldier’s Field Veteran’s Memorial or to the Donor’s Favorite Charity.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
