Public Information Meeting rescheduled

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA: The Public Information Meeting for the proposed rehabilitation of the Mayowood Bridge/Dam has been RE-SCHEDULED. The bridge was closed in December 2006, due to structural deficiencies. It has always been the County’s goal to re-open the bridge, providing a safe, efficient, and effective transportation system for the area. While not fully secured, the availability of State funding appears promising and so design efforts for the proposed improvements are being renewed. The project involves rehabilitating the existing deficient dam and bridge, and widening the bridge to accommodate a future path. The project is limited to the bridge and a small amount of roadway reconstruction immediately adjacent to the bridge.

The Public Meeting will update area residents and property owners on the project need, proposed improvements and schedule. Staff from Olmsted County Public Works and their consultant, WSB & Associates, Inc. will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
