On Sunday, September 23, the fifth installment of the Rochester Music Expo returns to Southern Minnesota after a successful show in April. Co-hosts Tim Schloe and Rich Franson will bring the music-buying experience to collectors and will also be collecting donations of nonperishable food to benefit the Channel One Food Shelf and Food Bank.
The Rochester Music Expo takes place at the Eagle’s Club, located at 917 15th Avenue Southeast. Show hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with early admission available at 8:30 a.m. Admission is $3/person, or $2/person with the donation of two cans of nonperishable food to benefit Channel One. Early admission is $10/person.
The Rochester Music Expo will feature two dozen dealers from the Midwest, including dealers from the Twin Cities and features three dealers from Rochester. The Expo will feature records, CDs and music memorabilia from all types of music.
“We are looking forward to bringing the Rochester Music Expo back in September while collecting donations for the Channel One Food Shelf,” said Tim Schloe. Rich Franson added. “The show features a great selection of, records, CDs, posters, music memorabilia from the 1950s to present day. If people have records or music memorabilia they’ve been holding onto, we will have a dedicated table to bring their items in to sell. Garage, psych, soul, 1960s and 1970s rock, jazz and similar types of music are the ones we are most interested in obtaining.”
More information about the Rochester Music Expo, including maps, is available at www.rochestermusicexpo.com.
Tim Schloe and Rich Franson are available for interviews via e-mail or telephone.
