ABC 6 News will present debate on Rochester City sales tax issue

ABC 6 News will present a debate September 13th on the Rochester City Sales Tax ballot. ABC 6 is coordinating this debate in partnership with the League of Women Voters and RCTC. The debate will be held in Hill Theatre on the Rochester Community and Technical College campus. Admission is free and members of the audience will be able to submit written questions to League of Women Voters moderators. ABC 6 News Anchor Laura Lee will also be on the Moderator panel. Representatives from both sides of the issue will participate in the debate; “Common Cents” favors extending the Rochester City Sales Tax and “Rochester C.O.S.T.” is opposed.

Rochester City Sales Tax Debate to provide a forum for voter education. Segments of the debate will be featured on ABC 6 News beginning with our 10 PM newscast on September 13th, and on KAAL-D2, Channel 6.2 and Charter 386, in its entirety, Sunday, September 16 at 9pm.
