Daniel Edward Snelson, age 65, passed away Sat. May 26. He was born January 25, 1947, in Rochester, MN to Joseph and Iva (Lowrie) Snelson.
Dan grew up in St.Paul MN where he graduated from Central High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Vietnam during the late 60’s. He worked for Montgomery Wards, Unisys, and the US Postal Service. While working for Unisys he spent several years in London.
His passions included riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, radio-controlled aircraft, mechanics, and computers.
He is survived by a daughter Suzanne (John) Maner, Granddaughter Hannah, Grandson Jack all of Sunrise Beach, TX, Grandson Nathan, Grandson Ian, and Granddaughter Sara of Lubbock TX. Step sons Mike and Don Brauer of Colorado Springs CO, and Ron Brauer of Lubbock TX. Brothers Jack, Fred, and Pete Snelson. Sister Marilyn (Mike) Snelson Temple. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Danielle Brauer-Snelson, his parents, and brothers Pat and Joe Snelson.
A service of remembrance will be planned for a later date. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
