Funeral services for Joanne P. Bale will be at 11:00am on Thursday, May17, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with the Reverend Chuck Coggins officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Joanne Phyllis Skelly was born on July 12, 1936 in Rochester, MN to Leonard and Evelyn (Strike) Skelly. She died on May 13, 2012 at her home in Mazeppa, MN.
Joanne attended Rochester Schools and married Marvin D. Bale Sr. on June 20, 1952 in Byron, MN. Joanne worked as a cheese processor for Pace Dairy in Rochester, retiring after 23 years of serivce. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, her dog, Snoopy and visiting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Donald Bale of Rochester, MN, her daughter, Connie (Gerald) Bannister of Rochester, MN, her sons, Richard (Pauline) Bale of Pine Island, MN, Dale Bale of the Twin Cities, MN and Chuck Bale of Red Wing, MN, her daughters, Tamera (Perry) Wagner of Chatfield, MN, Terry (Kevin) Griebenow of Pine Island, MN, Debra Bale of Cook, MN, Denise Bale of Elba, MN and Kimberly Lentz of Eyota, MN, and sons, Marvin D. Bale Jr. of Faribault, MN and James Bale of Plainview, MN; 26 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; her brothers, Joseph (Betty) Skelly of Pottsdam, MN, Jim (Marlene) Skelly of Arizona, Rick Skelly of Arizona and Vernie Leitz of Rochester, MN, her sisters, Pam (Cam) Helder of Pine Island, MN and Pat Lauqa of Mazeppa, MN. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, 1 son, Joe, 2 sisters, Shirley and Beverly and 1 brother, Bob.
