Scott remarried in December of 1976 in Stewartville, Minn. to Margie S. Westphal. The couple moved to a farm in rural Rochester, where they built a house overlooking the Root River Valley, raised horses and enjoyed trail riding. They also enjoyed spending winters in Mexico. Mrs. Fritz died on August 12, 2007 and Scott continued to live at his farm home. During the last 2 ½ years he was assisted by his granddaughter, Nikki Fritz and great grandson Dylan.
