Less than 10 days remain in the month to take advantage of the generous matching funds provided to The Salvation Army in Rochester for the Bed & Bread Club® program!
Additional matching dollars were given by both Rochester Walmart stores, Sam’s Club and from anonymous donors, effectively DOUBLING all Bed & Bread Club donation commitments received during the month of May! Each new monthly contribution will be matched up to a total of $20,000 to multiply the generosity of those seeking to help with important Salvation Army local food and shelter programs.
The Salvation Army’s Bed & Bread Club is made up of generous individuals who have decided to take the matter of hunger and homelessness in their community into their own hands. Consistent and growing need means a need for consistent support. Hundreds of small gifts will be pooled together to create a big impact on Salvation Army food and shelter programs.
Donors pledge a regular monthly gift that goes to work immediately for individuals and families served by The Salvation Army-Rochester. The program will be featured during the month of May to highlight current and expected future needs arising from the growth of Rochester as a result of DMC and other area government and business initiatives.
New members of Bed & Bread Club can also see some of the Good benefits from their donations by scheduling a free tour at The Salvation Army Community Center building, 20 NE 1st Avenue in Rochester. Tours can include a lunch and a visit to the downtown campus buildings.
