Joshua Paul Ottman, age 36, of Oronoco passed away unexpectedly June 30, 2012, from complications of Type 1 Diabetes.
Joshua was born September 7, 1975, in Rochester to John and Mary (Walker) Ottman. Joshua worked with his brother at Ottman Excavating, Inc. He loved to be outdoors, hunting morel mushrooms in the spring, fishing and hunting, and enjoyed riding and racing ATVs. He was a true kid at heart and enjoyed having fun. His smile would brighten even the worst of days. He took life as it came to him with a positive attitude and a bright smile. He was a hard worker and was always there to help. He loved animals- especially his longtime canine companion Frisbee who was usually at his side.
He lived his short life to the fullest, always caring for others with kindness in a true spirit of happiness.
Joshua is survived by his father, John Ottman of Rochester; his mother, Mary Ottman of Oronoco; his brother, Jason (Sara) Ottman of Rochester; his sister, Jennifer (Brad) Murphy of St. Charles; his three nephews, Jack, Jonah, and Westin; and as well as both grandmothers, Wilma Walker of Rochester and Jeanne Bergan of Wabasha. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Pax Christi Catholic Church. Burial followed in Oronoco Cemetery.
